Who I am as Mother & Doula is the result of weaving together my time spent living abroad, University + street smarts and many mentors.

AN ORDINARY LIFE HAS NEVER INTERESTED ME

I left my hometown in Newport Beach and moved across the world to do my undergraduate in Queensland, Australia. I then spent my 20’s and early 30’s working and playing (what is life if we aren’t playing, working and smiling) overseas in: Australia, Colombia, Tanzania and South Africa.

I am a teacher, but more importantly I practice what I teach.

During my expat years I worked as a communication specialist, helping organizations globally from Los Angeles to New York, Puerto Rico, Tanzania and South Africa. Every birthday I have a tradition of gifting myself an experience, or a self enrichment course, all in Eastern and Western sciences + spirituality.

I hold a BA with a double major + double minor Advertising & Public Relations + Philosophy and Communication. I have been a certified hatha yoga teacher for over 10 years, certified compassionate communication coach for 4 years. I am a trained Doula with Dona International as well as training from Sunrise Tawenti Ne Biidaaban Doula Collective in Indigenous Culturally Appropriate Pregnancy Care (CAPC).

I have a gift of connecting with parents from all walks of life, instant trust without fear or judgment.

Client Experience

Jackie’s 2nd Baby

Working with Britt through my 2nd pregnancy and birth was 1000 times better than my first pregnancy and birth with an OB.

Not only did she have recommendations for my physical, emotional and the baby’s health throughout pregnancy that NO OB had ever provided - and they worked - she was instrumental in supporting me through the delivery by being a grounding force and comforting techniques.

One of the most powerful aspects of working with Britt was the 3 prep sessions (2 with my husband) that helped us work through any birth fears from the first, birth goals, navigating discomfort - and ultimately be physically, emotionally and mentally prepared.

Birth is not just a moment in time and her prep was critical.

She’s also a joy to work with and the person you want to have in your corner.

If we had a third I’d call her in a heartbeat.

Hannahs Homebirth

I am honored to share about one of the most important women in my life. My supporter, guidance, sounding board and advocate, Mama B.

I felt like I had waited my whole life to give birth. After I had met the man of my dreams and we decided to try for a baby-

I began my search for a birth doula. I came across Brittany's Instagram after what felt like endless searching. We seemed to hold similar beliefs and I really connected with what she had shared about her own birth of her daughter.

I messaged her and let her know that I was interested in her services. (Mind you this was before I was even pregnant!)

After our first in person connection, she encouraged me to talk to other doulas. This was my first peek into the wisdom of her work and how sacred birth is to her. She knew it was more important that I found the right fit, rather than forcing herself to fit what I needed.

Throughout our work together, I was encouraged to lean into my truth and what that meant. I learned to trust myself, my body, my baby, and the process.

I was able to surrender old ideas and ways of thinking, stepping into the power I hold as a woman. While my only goal was a healthy baby, I was able to have my dream birth in the comfort of my home.

My daughter was brought earth side after a 7 hour labor. We started in the pool, then to the floor, and Brittany was able to communicate with me as I needed.

While in 'laborland,' she advocated for me regarding things we had clearly discussed during pregnancy. She reminded me of my stance and asked questions, allowing me to softly and comfortably make decisions.

It was an absolute blessing to work with Brittany during my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Her life experiences, understanding, and ability to coach me into my truth is a big reason I am the woman and mother that I am today.

Ashley The Midwife

I  have noticed a shift in my clients ever since I started offering Britt’s 4th Trimester Care Class to my clients.

The class is not just about how to care for the newborn but it dives in to the emotional and spiritual well being for both parents postpartum and preparing them for the incredibly dynamic shift that is to come for new parents.

She harnesses the ritual of birth within postpartum that is not only the birth of the baby but the birth of the parents as two completely new people in this new world.

She has both parents fully prepared for what is to evolve in not only themselves but for each other and how to continue to support one another in this time.

Britt’s 4th Trimester Care class is a deep dive into the birth of parenthood.

It is not just about how to swaddle a baby but how to connect with each other while caring for this new member of the family.

I am so thankful for Britt and all she does to help prepare my clients for parenthood and postpartum.

Joe first time Dad

Britt is an amazing postpartum doula! She has a lot of expertise and knowledge from her extensive background.

She supported, fed, educated, and calmed us when we needed it.

She was gentle and communicative.

We would recommend her to anyone!

For the dads-to-be, I highly recommend Britt.

My wife and I did a lot of research, and we knew we had found our doula after talking to her.

Britt is compassionate, competent, and is in your corner 100%.

I can confidently say that we were able to have a great natural birth experience because of how amazing Britt was during my wife’s labor.

Will definitely be reaching out for baby #2!

If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Britt was my doula at my first childbirth and I’m so happy we had her there.

Since the beginning at the prenatal session she was warm, sensitive, and brought a great energy into the room.

She helped my husband feel part of this process and guided him how to support me.

She helped us feel confident and open to what will come. At my long home labor she helped me through many painful hours and gave me the feeling that I’m in good hands and I’m not clueless.

Eventually when we decided to go to the hospital due to some complications she was fast and confident to lead us to the right place in the hospital and get us checked in and help with whatever was needed.

Her support before, at birth and also after birth was amazing and I’m so grateful to have had her there.

Britt Mason is not just a birth worker, but a total gem of a human being.

My husband and I took her Newborn Care and Postpartum Class

Being a second time mom, I figured it would be a good refresher but let me tell you, Britt got us thinking about so many things that weren't even on our radar - particularly how to prepare/integrate our first child emotionally for this major life transition.

I appreciated that she doesn't just present cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all education, but tailors her course content to your specific needs.

It was really evident to me just how much she cares about her work and clients.

The depth of her knowledge is invaluable.  I recommend her 100% to anyone looking for a full range of doula services.
